There is no such thing as The Blues, as far as we understand it, anyway. I know that may seem like a strange thing especially for me to say, but it’s true. Musical genres in the US were created for the purpose of making money and usually not for the artist. So, if there’s no such thing as The Blues, what exactly is this music?
